Forget the cardboard frozen vegetarian burgers – simply fry some halloumi cheese to make a very quick and delicious snack.
Add oil to your frying pan and get it to a high heat. If you put the halloumi in too easy, it has a tendency to go a bit mushy, and what you’re after is the squeak of cheese as you bite into it.
Fry until browned on both sides, put on a bed of sliced tomato in your bun and top with salad leaves and tomato sauce. Yum!
